BACKGROUND

For years, founder Lindsey Markell (she/her) was frustrated with her former property management company. Upon exiting the tech industry in July 2023, she created CMC to replace them and to help others like her manage their condominium HOAs and individual unit rentals without headaches and frustration.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ms. Markell is a licensed Property Manager in the District of Columbia, holding degrees in Business Administration (A.S.), Accounting (B.S. with a minor in Spanish), and Information Systems Management (M.S.). Her experience as a tax program manager, auditor, enterprise systems consultant/designer/engineer, business analyst, technical project manager, finance program manager, and many years spent in customer service combined with her three-year tenure and experience as a COA Board of Directors President ensures the breadth of knowledge and expertise you deserve as an asset owner, as a working professional serving on a HOA Board of Directors, and/or as a DC rental unit owner or tenant.

Meet the woman who runs Capital Management Company. When she's not working on your properties, you can find her weightlifting, practicing yoga, taking a dance class, or at the park with her dog. Otherwise she may be reading a novel, self-improvement, or business strategy book; cooking a new recipe or trying a new restaurant in the DMV; keeping an eye on markets; doing home and condo improvements on her own property; or maintaining relationships with friends, family, neighbors, and clients.
